Awards

These are the competitions and exhibitions my work has been used for and been a part of

Brill competition

In 2022 I entered a competition through my university to work with Kingston Museum in order to archive the landscape of Kingston Upon Thames through Art. Those shortlisted would be given a place to archive through drawing methods and their work exhibited in the museum as a part of the collection of 130 artists dating back to 1954.   I was chosen, along with two other students and I was given the opportunity to archive Tolworth Tower for the Museum. The piece I created was in Black ink and ventured to capture the size and grandeur of the tower.

400 Souls

In 2021 I along with my course worked in groups to research and create an animation that would promote the Book 400 souls. This book was a landmark for how African American history was told. As a part of a group of 4 we created an animation in the guise of a moving tapestry that could show the unique history of African Americans from the Arrival of the first slaves aboard the White lion to the modern-day Black Lives Matter movement.  We were awarded second prize for our work and had the opportunity to present and talk to the publishers and creator of the book the Vintage publishing.
